NEW-City Explorer Breaks

September sees the launch of our City Explorer collection. Great Britain enjoys an eclectic mix of cities, each with their specific character and charm-and we’ve picked the best of the best! We’ve included Inns, small hotels, and boutique B&B’s for the accommodation, which are all perfect for FIT or family customers. Below are a few snippets of what you can expect from your City Explorer-all included in your trip:

* Pinpoint Britain visitors to Glasgow will take afternoon tea in the Willows Tea Room at 97 Buchanan Street. This is the place where Glaswegians enjoy lovingly-prepared food with freshly-basked cakes and scones made from secret recipes. Décor is based on Glasgow’s famous architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, so expect art-deco and fresh colour palettes. This is so popular that we must pre-book prior to your arrival. Packages start from £165 pp

* Number 1 Royal Crescent in Bath is easily recognisable and features frequently in our TV period drama programmes. This unique museum is set within the Royal Crescent and depicts life upstairs and below stairs between 1776  and 1796. On display is period furniture, objects and memorabilia used by both wealthy Bath residents and their servants. Visit the parlour, gentleman’s retreat, ladies bedroom, servants hall, scullery and kitchen-and more. It’s a fascinating insight to 18th century living and a Pinpoint Britain favourite. Packages start from £235 pp

*York is a city for walking, with so much to see and do within the confine of the city walls. Yorvik Viking Centre is where York “began” and took its name-and a fitting place to start your city tour. York Minster is the number 1 attraction and stunningly beautiful! Your complimentary sightseeing tour takes in most major sights-but is rounded off with a relaxing river trip along the Rover Ouse, also included in your trip. Packages start from £185 pp.

*Stratford-Upon-Avon is home to England’s most famous bard-William Shakespeare. When you visit his birthplace, (included in the package), you feel a sense of atmosphere as you trace his footsteps and relive life as he approached adulthood. This charming market town is located by the River Avon, so there are gardens, parks, quaint shops-and we’ve thrown in afternoon tea for you, in one of the town’s oldest and largest Tudor buildings at Hathaway Tea Rooms. Packages start from £180 pp
